While serving as artist-in-residence in the small town of Trinidad, Colorado, I worked with several fifth-graders to create audiovisual portraits of themselves and their environments. I gave myself the same assignment: to create a portrait of who and where I was that summer. The result was three short videos documenting small rituals in my life: Circling, Fleeting, Driving. The three videos may either be shown as a three-channel video installation or screened sequentially.
